Personality:
A pretty face can be deceiving if you don’t know what lies beneath it.
Yae is the best example of that, as such. She holds the illustrious title of Guuji (Head Priest) at the Grand Narukami Shrine and many look to her with respect and awe for her wisdom. She is both mysterious and cunning, and she has always kept many things close to her chest on a need to know basis, especially if it pertains to her or her past.
She is incredibly notorious for being feared by others, due to her apt ability to get under other people’s skin. This being notably because one of her pastimes involves watching people squirm, such as her continual teasing of General Gorou over his fluffy tail as she knows full well how much it embarrasses him. She has no qualms bringing others into it as needed, and it’s hard to read the motives when it comes to her and how she speaks with others.
“Something Amusing Just Happened.”
Four words that will absolutely be guaranteed to catch her attention, and there’s nothing better than messing with people if she can get away with it. Such as allowing Arataki Itto to believe he won their ramen eating contest while being completely unaware that she’d likely just egged him on in some form or another, as he ended up being bedridden for the following month afterwards. She does find him entertaining all the same and such as with him? Tends to do many things simply because it amuses her and keeps her from being bored, so the more interesting you are, the better.
As Lady Guuji, she presents herself calmly and politely but the same cannot be said for when she’s just around those she’s grown somewhat close to. There’s her sharper edges, as that’s when Yae proves she’s quite blunt and incredibly cynical. She’ll call others out on their mistakes and won’t mince words one bit. She proved this with her close friend, Ei. Telling her straight up this Inazuma she’s currently cultivated isn’t really even worth saving with the state it’s in, or initially how she knew the Traveler had no chance on their own to defeat Ei (The Electro Archon/Ruler) and told them straight up to their face.
Where the Traveler is even regarded, she had no qualms in saving them with the ulterior motive that they help her in return and it’s likely had they not been useful? She may not have involved herself with them, and the same can be said for those around her.
It doesn’t mean she lacks kindness, however. While she cuts to the point and acts in ways that many do not understand, Yae does possess a heart as she wanted to save both Ei AND the people of Inazuma at the same time. Her longtime friend means a lot to her and Yae understood to an extent what the woman wanted to do, but not agreeing with how much harm the Vision Hunt Decree was causing to the people and the nation itself. ‘Eternity is far too cruel a fate for you, Ei.’ As a proper friend would do, she went out of her way to help out, while maybe also being a bit manipulative in the typical way of hers.
Yae is incredibly intelligent, with a keen eye for the world around her and respect for the written and spoken word as she bears the title of Chief Editor for her own Publishing Company. She quite loves things such as Fried Tofu and Light Novels and is every bit as cunning as the Kitsune she really is.
When explaining things to others, she tends to somewhat over-embellish details or add some sarcastic notes, and there’s always a sort of elegance to the way she speaks and holds herself all the same. It could be due to her many, many years of seeing and experiencing more than the average person but she’ll never quite openly admit that. The closest one even may get is the fact she has admitted that she finds humans incredibly fascinating and very ‘bright’ for as short lives they have, deeply fond of them without question.
In short, Yae Miko is a woman who is confident, sly and mysterious and is never really seen without her smile. Her intentions are hard to read, but she’s the kind of person who one would want on their side rather than as an enemy.

I would like to play her in this setting because of the chance of new interactions with others outside of her own world. She’s enigmatic, unpredictable and can work with or without castmates.
She’ll eventually try to see how this world works, so while she’ll mostly be pretty laid back? It isn’t as if she’ll do nothing, and can push people into doing things in her own way while testing the limits of what this world can offer her. After all, being bored is not something a kitsune like her enjoys, so Yae will do what she can to avoid that from happening.
There’s a vast possibility of things that can happen with dreamotion energy, and it’s extremely fascinating to her.
